SCHOOL TRANSPORT
The school extends its transport service as an optional facility designed for the convenience of its students. This service operates on pre-determined routes, ensuring both safety and accessibility for all commuters. While every effort is made to accommodate convenience, changes to these routes may not always be feasible.
Guidelines for School Transport:
- Fee Structure:
- The bus fee, payable annually alongside the tuition fee, is applicable for the entire year.
- Punctuality:
- Students availing themselves of the transport service must arrive at their designated bus stops at least five minutes before the scheduled arrival of the bus.
- The buses adhere to a strict timetable and will not wait for latecomers.
- Safety Protocols:
- Students must stand at the designated side of the bus stop and refrain from approaching the bus until it comes to a complete halt.
- While the bus is in motion, students must remain seated and refrain from leaning out of the windows or moving around.
- Disposing of trash or food inside or outside the bus is strictly prohibited.
- Parental Responsibilities:
- Parents must escort their wards to and from the bus stops to ensure their safety.
- They are expected to be punctual at the bus stop in the afternoon, carrying their I-cards. If parents are delayed, the child will be brought back to school.
- Parents are requested not to board the bus or engage in disputes with the bus staff, students, or teachers. Under no circumstances should they cause delays to the school bus.
- Discipline and Conduct:
- Students are required to memorize their bus route numbers and maintain discipline throughout the journey.
- Any misconduct, disobedience, or aggressive behaviour towards the bus staff or peers may result in the withdrawal of the transport facility.
- Fixed Routes and Stops:
- Students must board and alight only at their assigned stops and use their allotted buses. Requests for temporary changes in bus routes or stops cannot be accommodated.
- In the event of a permanent change in route or stop, parents must submit a formal application to the school office. The change will be effective only upon receiving written approval from the school.
- Missed Buses:
- Students who miss their assigned buses must not attempt to board another. In such cases, parents are responsible for ensuring their wards reach the school safely. However, these students may return home by their designated bus.
- Communication and Assistance:
- Each bus is equipped with a helper who carries a mobile phone. Parents may obtain the contact details from the Transport In-Charge.
- Any concerns or complaints regarding transport should be directed to the Headmistress or the Transport In-Charge.
- Modern Tracking Facility:
The school offers the ‘Applane Track’ mobile application, powered by GPS technology. Parents registered on this application can monitor their child’s bus in real time and receive notifications about the bus’s arrival at their designated stop, ten minutes in advance.
A Note of Gratitude:
The school transport service is a shared responsibility between parents, students, and the school. Your cooperation in adhering to these guidelines ensures the safety, punctuality, and well-being of all.
