A sport is a way of life at Indraprastha as the school believes in the maxim: Sports build good habits, confidence, and discipline. They make players into community leaders and teach them how to strive for a goal, handle mistakes, and cherish growth opportunities. Our students excel in various sports at inter school, national and International level, be it Taekwondo, Cricket, Skating, Football, Swimming, Table Tennis, or badminton.

In the Zonals Sports Competition, our students demonstrated remarkable talent and dedication, earning prestigious accolades for our institution. Their outstanding performances have paved the way for them to represent us in the Delhi State School Games, organized annually by the Directorate of Education, Delhi.

TOP PERFORMERS IN TABLE TENNIS
- Aditya Kanwar (10 B1) secured the FIRST POSITION at the Delhi State School Games.
- In the Delhi State & Inter-District Table Tennis Championships 2024! In the U-17 boys' category, Aditya Kanwar ( X B1) has achieved remarkable success by securing the FIRST POSITION.
- Our Senior table tennis team too made a mark in the Table Tennis Zonal and the proud winners were: Aryansh Dawar (XII A2) and Aniket Aggarwal (XII A2) and won the Second Runners Up Position.
- Under the Sub Junior Boys category, Himank Dhingra (VIII B1) and Arnav Sawhney (VII A1), and with Jashan Jani (VII A1)bagged the First Runners Up Position.
- Under the Junior Boys category, Aditya Kanwar (X B1) along with Dhairya Gupta (X B1) and Shiven Khanna (VIIA2) showcased their impressive table tennis and bagged the Second Runners Up Position.
- While our Senior Girls Table Tennis team , Priyanshi Gupta (XI A1), Keshika Makol (X B2), and Chaarvi Jani (X A3) secured the Second Runners Up Position.
BADMINTON TRIUMPHS
In the zonal of the badminton U-14 and U 17 girls' team secured the First Runners Up Position. The winning team comprised of: Rabani Kamboj (VII B1), Saanvi Mahajan (VII A3), and Aaira Sachdeva (VII A3), Anushka Kakkar (IX B2), Gracy Kaur Devgan (9A1), and Dalisha Batra (XA3).
BASKET BALL CHAMPS (Buzzer beater Winners)
In the Basketball Tournament held at Zonals for the Junior Boys Team secured an impressive Second Runners Up Position. The winning team comprised: Adhyan Bansal (Xl-B1), Hemank Aggarwal (Xl-A1), Sukhmanjeet Singh (Xl-B1), Gauransh Dutt (IX-A1), Kavya Aggarwal (IX-B1), Aadit Raj Garg (Xl-B1), Namish Rawal (IX-A1), Aaryaveer Chaudhary (X-A1), Bhavik Jain (IX-A1), Ruhaan Singh Gulati (IX-B1), Sachin Bhoj (Xl-B1). It was a proud moment when Adhyan Bansal (Xl-B1) has been selected for the Delhi State Team!
ATHLETICS (Winning Spirit Unleashed!)
- In the Athletic meet , Arleen Kaur ( IX A3) bagged a Gold Medal in the shotput and won a silver medal in 600 m and bronze in 400 metres individual race.
- Harsh (VIII A3) bagged the two silver medals one in 100 metres and one in shotput while Aaryansh Bhatia ( IX B2) bagged the bronze Medal in shotput.
- The Senior Girls Relay team comprising: Jahnavi Verma (XII A1), Geet Maheshwari ( XI A3), Preeveera Soni ( XI A1), Dhanvi Singhania( IX B1), Manya Bajaj ( IX B2), Charvi Chetri ( X A3) bagged the Silver Medal.
YOGA ACHEIVERS (Flexibility and Focus Unlocked)
Our talented and skilled Parth Phutela (XI A1) bagged the First Runners Up Position in the Delhi State School Games (Yoga) Competition (Inter-zonal). our yoga team mesmerized the audience through their impressive performance and bagged the Silver Medal.
SPORTS ACHIEVMENTS 23-24
Our ace Table Tennis Champ – Aditya Kanwar
His versatility in sports speaks volumes of his calibre as a Table Tennis player. He represented school in the Asian Table Tennis Tournament 2024 organized at Tokyo and raised the banner of the institute. He has to his credit a track record of winning several competitions.
- First Position in Under -15 (boys) category in the Delhi State Table Tennis School Games 2023.
- Second runners up in CBSE Cluster XX TT: U17 Boys Single
- First Runners up Position in the Inter-District Table Tennis Competition.
- Second Runners up Position in the Northwest District Table Tennis Tournament 2023-24,
- Silver medal in Under the Ping Pong Open TT Tournament in (U-19 boys Category). His commendable efforts were rewarded with a cash prize of Rs 1500.
- In the Inter school table tennis tournament held at Manavsthali, he bagged the Second Runners Up Position.

Priyanshi Gupta (XI A2), a talented table tennis player demonstrated her exceptional skills and competitive spirit in the U-17 category in the District Table Tennis Tournament in Southwest Delhi and secured the First Runners Up Position. Additionally, she showcased her versatility by achieving third place in the U-19 division. Priyanshi's outstanding performance reflects the dedication and hard work she has put into her training.

Our young and energetic team of Table Tennis team of girls impressed the audience and fetched the Second Runners Up Position in the 18th Ramjas Inter School Table Tennis tournament. The proud winners were: Priyanshi Gupta (X A2), Keshika Makol (IX B2), and Sejal Chaudhary (VII A3)
At New Era Public School in the Table tennis Inter school Tournament 2024, in under18 (girls) category, Priyanshi Gupta (XI A1), Keshika Makol (X B2) and Nishika Kumar (VI B1) bagged the Second Runners Up Position. In Under-16 (boys) category, Aditya Kanwar (X B1), Dhairya Gupta (X B1) and Shiven Khanna (VII A2) bagged the First Runners Up Position.

Our talented and adept Table tennis player, Shiven Khanna (VII A2) bagged the Second runners Up Position in under 13 boys category at Adarsh Public School in the Table Tennis tournament.

All India Rank Holder
All India Rank Holder Praneet Kaur (XII A1) has raised the banner of IPWS by not only representing the school in nationals but also left an indelible mark on the international platform in the field of lawn tennis.
She holds an Asian rank and world rankings in singles and doubles. She has competed internationally on the ITF Seniors Tour and was selected for Delhi State (U-17). Her achievements include winning the AITA CS-3 (U-14). Additionally, she was a double runner-up at AITA CS-7 (U-18) and reached the quarter-finals in the National Rank Tennis Tournament 2023.

Budding Tennis Champion
Dwij Joshi, with his skills par-excellence has won many championships in sports and at present holds the 24th rank under 12 categories in the All India Tennis Association. He came First in both (U-12 Boys) and (U-10 Boys) in DDA Lawn Tennis Tournament. His passion for tennis has always motivated him to win various tennis events – he won the Gold Slice Academy Tournament 2024; he bagged the First Runners Up Position in the FTA, AITA Tournament 24 (U-12); and reached the Quarter-Finals in the BNP Tennis Tournament and the Shree Ram AITA Open.
In the same tournament, he reached the Semi-Finals in the doubles category. His efforts made him carve his way to the semifinals in the All-India Tennis Champs. His contribution to the field of Tennis is highly commendable.

FOOTBALL
Runner Up in IUFA Youth Cup in Football
Our young and energetic athletes made a mark in the football tournament hosted by the Indian United Football Academy (IUFA) and brought home countless medals: As a team they were adjudged as the Runners Up in the event. The winning team comprised: Avraj Singh (IV A1), Akshat Srivastava (IV B2), Aarav Malhotra (IV B1), Rudraveer Aggarwal (II B2), Daiwik Garg (III B2), Rudransh Gupta (IV B1), Laksh Dhawan (IV A2), Ekas Singh Bhatia (II A2), Purvith Lamba (I A2), Aryan Bhatia (IV A3), Gurjas Singh (IV B2), Shrey Pathak (IV A3), and Kabir Bhardwaj (IV B1).

BADMINTON
Budding Badminton Champions
Bhavik Kumar (VII A2) won the Silver Medal in Delhi State BD U-13 category. He was rewarded a cash prize a gift voucher worth Rs.2000. In Delhi State Ranking Badminton Tournament 2024, his incessant efforts made him win a gold medal in under-15 category (boys doubles).

In the West Delhi District Badminton Championship 2024, our budding badminton player, Bhavik Kumar (VII A2) won the silver medal while Shaurya Maheshwari (VII B2) won the Bronze Medal in under-13 (Boys Singles) category.

Viransh Khurana (II B2) bagged the Second Runners up Position in Delhi State Badminton championship 2024. As a badminton player, Viransh has been consistently showcasing his talent and dedication on the court.

YOGA CHAMPS
Represented the School in the C.B.S.E Nationals of YOGA 2024-2025
In the event Central Zone Yogasna Competition 2024-23 organized by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) our skilled and adept Parth Phutela (XI A1) exhibited the best of his talent and calibre in the under 19 (boys) category and bagged the Second Runners Up Position. Selected for the Nationals of Yoga organised by SGFI 2023-2024
It was a moment of pride when our physically agile and flexible, Parth Phutela (X A1) bagged the First Position in Zonals and made the school proud by winning the First Runners Up Position in the artistic yoga in the Delhi State School Games (Inter zonal) and got selected among Top 5 to compete in the Nationals of yoga organized by the School Games Federation of India (SGFI)

Brimming with energy and physically agile, Aaliyah Malik (VI A2) and Dhriti Khanna (VI A3) won the First Position in Yogathon held at Ahlcon Public School.

The Team of yoga performers enthralled the judges with their splendid performance and bagged the First Position in the yoga event held at Vikas Bharti Public School, Rohini. The proud winners were: Parth Phutela (XI A1), Kanakpreet Kaur (XI A1), Preeveera Soni (XI A1), Priyanshi Gupta (XI A1) and Pragya Dhamija (XI A1).

In the inter school event of Yogasna held at Mother Mary’s School, Mayur Vihar, Amairah Kohli (X A2) bagged the Second Runners Up Position and in the Yogathon Championship at N. K. Bagrodia Public School, in, Parth Phutela (XI A1) bagged the First Position.

SKATING
Winners of the 51st Delhi State Roller Skating Championship
In the 51st Delhi State Roller Skating Championship 2024-25, our school won 10 medals (1 gold, 4 silver, 5 bronze). Yuvan Thapar (III A3) bagged one gold and two silver medals, Aanav Gupta (VA1) bagged one silver and two bronze medals, Rudraksh Dhingra (XI B1) bagged a silver and a bronze medal. Finally, both Kavya Gupta (VI A1) and Jahnavi Verma (XII A1) bagged a bronze each. Yuvan Thapar has been selected for the nationals of the Roller Skating Federation of India (RSFI)

Represented School in the 67th National School Games
Our ace skaters Rudraksh Dhingra (XI B1), Navya Gupta (XII A3) and Aanav Gupta (V A1) represented the school in the 67th National School Games Skating boys U11, Satna, Madhya Pradesh from 11 April to 15 April 2024 organized by the School Games and Mr Amit Chhikara as the Head Coach for the U 11 skating team

In the Delhi State School Skating Games 2023 at the Inter zonal level our ace skaters whizzing past on their wheels showcased their exceptional skills, leaving the spectators in a state of awe. Their remarkable performance resulted in remarkable achievement and bagged 4 Gold, Two Silver and 5 Bronze Medals; The proud achievers were: Navya Gupta (XII A3), Aanav Gupta (IV A3), Rudraksh Dhingra (X A1) and Jahnavi Verma (XI A2). Together they won a CASH PRIZE of rupees 22 thousand and one hundred. And the Icing on the cake is that three students have been selected for the Nationals to be organized by SGFI in Satna.

It was moment of pride when the 3 ace skaters of IPWS exhibited the best of the skills and abilities in the, C.B.S.E ROLLER SKATING CHAMPIONSHIP 2023-24 and were selected for the Nationals organized by C.B.S.E The trio who got the opportunity to reach the nationals were: Navya Gupta (XII A3), Aanav Gupta (IV A3), Rudraksh Dhingra (X A1).

51st Open Delhi State Roller Skating Championship
It was a moment of pride for the team IPWS when our national level skaters whizzing past on their wheels made the school proud by demonstrating the best of their skating skills and physical agility in the 51st Open Delhi State Roller Skating Championship organized by the Roller-Skating Federation of India, Delhi from March 30 to 31st. Their remarkable performance made it possible for them to clinch 4 Gold, 7 silver, and 10 Bronze
Medals. The proud achievers were:

Skating Stars Shine at the 50th Delhi State Championship
At the 50th Delhi State Roller Skating Championship 2023-24, held at the Skate Roller Sports Centre, Bawana, from 6th to 10th October 2023, the following students made us proud by bringing home accolades. The proud winners were:
- Arleen Kaur (VIII B2) won a bronze medal
- Navya Gupta (XII A3) won three bronze medals
- Aanav Gupta (IV A3) won a bronze medal
- Jasnadar Singh (I A3) won a bronze medal
- Viraaj Luthra (I A1) won a silver medal and a bronze medal
- Kavya Gupta (V A1) won a bronze medal.
Among these outstanding winners, Navya Gupta and Viraaj Luthra have earned the prestigious opportunity to compete at the Nationals in skating, organized by the RSFI.

SFA Sports Championship 2024-25
In the SFA (Sports for All) Roller Skating Championship 24-25 held on 4 and 5 October; our school bagged 24 medals (11 Gold, 7 Silver and 6 Bronze). The proud recipients were: Anay Chopra (II A3), Anav Gupta (II B2), Saksham Sharma (I B1), Arleen Kaur (IX B2, Geet Kaur (VIII A2), Shivaay Singh (II A2), Saisha Suneja (IX B2), Viraaj Luthra (II A1), Teghbir Singh (IIA1), Jasnadar Singh (II B2), Aneeksha Shandilya (II B2), Rehras Singh (II A1), Arihaan Sarin (II A3) and Harvaraj Shah Singh (II A1).

Represented School in the CBSE National Taekwondo Championship

39th Delhi State Taekwondo Championship
Our young champion Shaurya Maheshwari (VI B2) clinched the Silver Medal in the sub-junior category. He has raised the banner of the alma mater.

In the North District Taekwondo Championship 2024, Charvi Chetri (X A3), Manya Thakur (XII B1), Adheesh Didwania (XI A3) and Paras Saunkiya (IX A3) bagged the Gold Medal, Varidhi Aggarwal (IX A3) bagged the Silver Medal, Sanya Singhal (X A3) bagged the Bronze Medal.
Charvi Chetri, Manya Thakur, Adheesh Didwania and Paras Saunkiya have been selected for Delhi State Taekwondo Championship.

In the C.B.S.E Roller Skating Championship 2023-24, Our skating team bagged 1 Gold, 3 Silver and 4 Bronze medals. The winning team comprised: Anay Chopra (II A3), Navya Gupta (XII A3), Aanav Gupta (IV A3), Rudraksh Dhingra (X A1), Jahanvi Verma (XI A1) Three students were selected for the C.B.S.E National - Navya Gupta, Aanav Gupta and Rudraksh Dhingra.
50th DELHI STATE ROLLER SKATING CHAMPIONSHIP 2023-24
Our team of 6 ace skating champs made the school proud by winning one silver and eight Bronze Medals in the 50th DELHI STATE ROLER SKATING Championship 2023-2024: The winning comprised: Arleen Kaur (VIII B2), Navya Gupta (XII A3), Aanav Gupta (IVA3), Jasnadar Singh (I B1), Viraaj Luthra (I A3), Kavya Gupta (V A1). It was a moment of pride when Navya Gupta And Viraj Luthra were selected for the nationals to be organized by RSFI (Roller Skating federation of India.

In the U-14 cricket tournaments held in Delhi and Jaipur, our ace cricketers gave a tough competition to their opponents and emerged victorious, claiming the Top Positions in both the Tournaments. They brought home a trove of accolades and a trophy, a testament to their hard work and dedication.

Vibhor Taneja was awarded with the Best Bowler award, while Manraj Singh was named the Best Batsman. Ahaan Kumar was also felicitated with a 4-year scholarship.

In CBSE Taekwondo Championship-22, Charvi Chetri (VIII-B2) won a Gold Medal, Mayank Yadav (X-A2) won a Silver Medal, Manya Thakur (X-B2) and Ishanvi (X-A1) won a Bronze Medal. Indeed, it was a moment of pride for the IPWS as Charvi Chetri and Mayank Yadav represented the school in the CBSE National Taekwondo Championship.

In the Zonals Table Tennis Tournament (under 17 girls category): Anushka Kumar (XII A3), Priyanshi Gupta ( VIII A3), and Tripti Ahuja (X A1) won the Second Runners up Position whereas in the boys team, Pavneet Singh ( X A3), Dhairya Gupta ( VII A3), Arhan Garg (VII A1) proved their mettle as tennis champs and clinched the First Runners up Position.

Delhi Olympic Games Junior Taekwondo Championship 2021-2022
Our skilled and energetic Taekwondo champs exhibited the best of their talent and expertise in the Delhi Olympic Games Junior Taekwondo Championship 2021-2022 organized on December 26, 2021 and brought home lots of laurels. The winning team comprised: Simonepreet Kaur (XII A2) won a Gold medal, Snavi (X B2) won a Silver medal, Aashiya Goyal ( XII A2) won Bronze medal, Mehak Rustagi (XII B1)won Bronze medal in Poomsae Individual category. While in the kyorugi (Fighting) category, Isha Tiwari (XI A1), Siya Narang (XI B1) and Aashiya Goyal (XII A2) won Bronze medals.

Our buudding skater showcased the best of their talent and brought home plethora of laurels to the school. The proud winners were :

Deepam Malik( XA3), our ace Lawn Tennis National level Player made the school proud by winning U-16 CS-7 AITA(All India Tennis Association) Series. He is among top forty players in the country as per AITA ranking, at present.

3rd Master Blaster Under 14 Championship Trophy
In the 3rd Master Blaster Cricket Tournament organised at Shirdi (Maharashtra). Lakshay Shukla (VIII B2) and Aditya Jaiswal (VIII B2) smashed two wickets each. Aditya Jaiswal (VIII B2) was declared as the Man of the Tournament, Krish Bharija (IX B1) was adjudged as the Best Batsman of the tournament and Aryan Sharma (IX B2) was declared as the Man of the Match for his excellent contribution of 59 Runs. The collective endeavours of the team proved that no score is too small for their combined brilliance to defend.

At Late Mai Chand Memorial Invitational Swimming meet held at Talkatora Stadium, our ace swimmer Ssmridhi Vijayaran (XI B2) showcased her mettle and brought home many laurels. She has been adjudged as the Best Swimmer for her remarkable performance and won the Best Swimmers Trophy. Her remarkable performance made her win the following events:
· Ssamridhi notched the Gold Medal in 500 meter breast stroke and awarded a cash prize of Rs.700.
· Under the category of 200 meter individual medley, she won the Gold Medal and a cash prize of RS 700.
· In 50 meter butter fly, she bagged the Silver Medal and a cash prize of Rs 500.

At Late Mai Chand Memorial Invitational Swimming meet held at Talkatora Stadium, our young swimmer Shatakshi Sharma (IX B1) won the Gold Medal and a cash prize of Rs 700 in 200 meter individual medley. In 100 meter freestyle swimming competition, she won a Gold Medal and a cash prize of Rs 700. Under the category of 50 meter butterfly, she bagged the Bronze Medal and a cash prize of Rs 300.

Inter School Relay Race at Indraprastha
Indraprastha World School, organised an inter school Relay Race - Eggs in the Basket on Friday August 16, 2019 for the students of Class I. More than 20 schools from Delhi and NCR participated with great zeal, and enthusiasm. With the commencement of the event, the atmosphere reverberated with the echoes of cheers encouraging budding athletes.
